Step One
A Free,
No-Obligation Survey
It starts with a free visit to your home, with no obligation and no hard sell. We come to you anywhere across Glasgow and the southside at a time that suits, including evenings, because seeing the rooms in person is the only way to advise properly.
We'll look at each window, talk through how you use the room and what you want from the shutters (privacy, light, blackout, a period look or a clean modern one) and show you the different styles and blade sizes against your actual windows. You'll get honest, straightforward advice from the family team, not a script from a sales rep.
Step Two
Measured & Designed
by a Joiner
Once you're happy with the direction, the same joiner measures every window precisely and works the design up with you: the style for each room, the louvre (blade) size, where any mid-rails sit and the finish. Shutters are joinery, and openings are rarely perfectly square, so getting the measurements and the design right on site is what makes the finished job sit flush and gap-free.
Because the person measuring is also the person who will fit, the design is built around what actually works in your windows, not around what's easiest to install later. You'll have a clear, no-pressure quote before anything is ordered.
Step Three
Made to Measure,
Made to Order
Your shutters are then made to order in Basswood (a light, stable hardwood that holds a crisp painted finish and won't warp across a sunny bay), built to the exact measurements and design from your survey. Made-to-measure shutters take time to manufacture properly, and we'd always rather take that time than cut a corner on the fit.
We'll give you a clear idea of timings at your survey and keep you posted as your order progresses, so you know exactly when your shutters will be fitted.
Step Four
Fitted by Our
Own Joiners
When your shutters are ready, the same time-served joiners return to fit them, never subcontracted out. We hang and adjust every panel so it sits square and closes cleanly, and make sure each one operates exactly as it should before we leave.
We work tidily and clear up after ourselves, so you're left with a finished job and a clean room, not a list of snags. Because the team that fits is the team that surveyed and designed, there's no gap between what was promised and what gets done.
